Software solutions provider SOFTSWISS has hailed its collaboration with Rubens Barrichello two years on from his appointment, as the business continues to grow in the Brazilian market.
The Malta-headquartered firm reported 64% year-on-year growth in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for Q1 2026, while total bets increased by 65%.
Barrichello was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at SOFTSWISS in 2024 for its Latin American operations, which have grown significantly in the past two years. The company has scaled its local presence from a single representative to a dedicated team focused on business development, account management and marketing.
The former Formula 1 driver has been active in representing the company, attending major industry events throughout his tenure. SOFTSWISS also said he has played a key role in bridging the company with the local market, supporting educational initiatives, engaging with partners and contributing to business development.
“I am pleased with our productive partnership. In our third year, our focus is on continuing to build on what we have started,” said Barrichello.
“I look forward to helping the team engage partners through racing experiences – it’s a way to share something personal while building real connections.”
SOFTSWISS’s recent developments
Group-wide, SOFTSWISS has been making several business improvements as it prepares for the 2026 World Cup. Last month, it launched the Partner API Tester, a self-service testing tool for its sports betting API, Sportsbook Partner API 2.0.
More recently, it ventured into the prediction markets space, which has gained much traction in recent times.
On Barrichello, Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, commented: “As a lifelong racing fan, I know that in business, just like on the track, milliseconds can define success. Speed and precision matter even more over long distances.
“This is exactly what Rubens inspires in our daily work. It is this mindset that has helped shape our position in the industry and will continue to drive us forward.”
