BGaming has been granted a licence in Peru for the provision of igaming content, expanding the firm’s ambitions in Latin America.

The country’s gambling regulator Mincetur granted BGaming its B2B certification on the grounds that its technical system of gaming software and customer engagement portfolio are on par with local regulations.

Through the licence, BGaming will now be able to expand into the newly-regulated market of Peru, strengthening its position inLatin America, where it has been strengthening its position over the last 12 months.

Marina Ostrovtsova, CEO at BGaming, said: “Securing the Peru licence marks a pivotal moment in BGaming’s global expansion. This certification not only strengthens our presence in Latin America but also underscores our commitment to bringing high-quality, immersive gaming experiences to new audiences.

“We are excited about the opportunities this will unlock, both in terms of growth and the reception of our slots in this new market.”

Mincetur, which is Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, took over the supervisory duties of the country’s gambling licensing and financial control in 2023 through an order imposed by President Dina Boluarte

Earlier this year, the regulatory body announced its new President of the General Directorate of Gambling, Yuri Guerra Padilla, after it suddenly terminated relations with his successor Eduardo Sevilla Echevarria without giving further explanations.
