Colombian trade body AsoJuegos appoints Dr Restrapo as new President

Colombian industry trade body, AsoJuegos has confirmed the appointment of Dr Juan Carlos Restrapo as its new Executive President.

The former senator will represent the interest of Colombian industry stakeholders, both domestic and international within the nation’s newly reformed gambling framework.

A seasoned political operator, Restrapo has formerly served as a 16-year representative for Colombia’s Cambio Radical (Economic liberal) party.

AsoJuegos’s new leadership appointment, was backed by the governance of national regulator Fecoljuegos.

Updating stakeholders, Evert Montero Cárdenas (Chief Commissioner of Fecoljuegos) detailed:

“We want to extend our most sincere congratulations to Dr. Juan Carlos Restrepo. Without a doubt he has been an important player in the sector and a very close friend of Fecoljuegos. We have worked together in the good of the activity and we fully trust that with his arrival and participation in the actions that we are working in an articulated manner between the unions, the different projects and challenges that will help make this a sustainable industry in the long term be consolidated.”
