BetMGM to randomly award two customers £250k at Cheltenham

BetMGM is giving two random customers £250,000 each during the Cheltenham Festival this week.

To celebrate the operator’s first year as the sponsor of the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase – Wednesday’s feature race – BetMGM will deposit £500,000 split across two accounts.

BetMGM’s UK Director, Sam Behar, commented: “We’re extremely proud to be associated with the 2025 Cheltenham Festival through our sponsorship of the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase – and so we wanted to mark the occasion this year with not one but two stunning giveaways to our customers.

“Giving away two lots of £250,000 during the week of Cheltenham adds to what is already set to be a hugely exciting week.

“All customers have to do to enter is place and settle a £2 bet on a sports market and their 2025 Cheltenham Festival winnings could well be beyond their wildest dreams.”

Behar added that the brand is also giving racegoers the chance to win three trips to Las Vegas as well as some other prizes via its Vegas Victory Vault.

“We look to bring a slice of Las Vegas to Cheltenham and make it a festival to remember for BetMGM customers,” he said.

To take part, BetMGM customers must place and settle a £2 bet on any sports market from Monday 10 March.

The brand explained that every settled £2 sports bet qualifies as an entry for the draw, meaning 10x £2 settled bets would count as 10 qualifying bets, whereas a single £20 stake would only count as a single entry.

Megan Nicholls, BetMGM horse racing ambassador and pundit, noted: “The Cheltenham Festival is a huge week in the racing calendar and it’s great to see BetMGM upping the stakes for this year’s meeting with their £500,000 Cheltenham Giveaway.

“Backing the winner of the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase and Gold Cup always provides a huge thrill for punters — but discovering one of the £250,000 deposits in your account afterwards would surely be the real winner!”

In another first for Cheltenham this week, the festival will be incorporating a new system for dynamic bets through a partnership between Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and Playtech Sports.

The system will allow players to place their bets as the races occur in real time. In-play betting will be available in almost 16,000 Self Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) across Great Britain and Ireland.
