Racing And Sports identifies ‘new opportunities for innovation’ with Tabcorp

Racing And Sports (RAS) has signed a deal with Australian-based Tabcorp to supply an expanded offering of data and content on its app, retail and web platforms, as well as Sky Racing.

The three-year partnership will see RAS provide the gambling company with its analytics, predictive models, and content from global horse racing, harness racing, and greyhounds too.

RAS CEO, Stephen Crispe, stated: “We are excited to be working with Tabcorp and look forward to identifying new opportunities for innovation and enhancing the customer experience.

“The quality of content, analytics, and tips provided to customers has a proven link to drive turnover. Every Saturday in Australia there is a race every few minutes, meaning end-users require high-quality informative insights at their fingertips in order to wager with confidence.

“This deal will provide a one-stop-shop for users of the Tabcorp services looking for everything on a single platform to find an edge; whether it be in the Racing and Sports analytics or Tabcorp’s video replays, it’s all there.”

The ASX betting group has detailed how the deal will ‘uplift’ data and content displayed on Tabcorp’s website and new mobile app.

The agreement represents an extension of the existing long-standing partnership between RAS and Tabcorp.

In addition to RAS’ proprietary ratings, Racing and Sports is also the official provider of Timeform ratings in Australia, having worked with the brand over the course of the past 23 years.

Last week, Tabcorp announced that it is now planning a +AUS $100m (€61m) bid to become the Melbourne Cup broadcast rights holder – the marquee fixture of Australia’s Spring Carnival.

The group is reported to currently be in negotiations with Victoria Racing Club, in which it seeks to become the ‘local and global’ distributor for the “race that stops the nation”.

Held every November, the Melbourne Cup is Australia’s biggest racing event featuring a prize pool of +$6m and is watched by a global audience of 700 million viewers across 120 nations.
