UK Tote adds Lord Spencer and Mark Holt as growth advisors

UK Tote Group, the operating company of UK racing’s Tote pool betting services has announced the appointment of Lord Michael Spencer of Alresford and technology expert Mark Holt as corporate advisors.

The duo will join the Tote Group’s corporate governance as non-executive directors (NEDs) advising leadership on the Tote’s next phase of growth focused on product innovation, commercial partnership and improved customer experience.

An investor of Tote Group, Lord Spencer is the former founder of former FTSE100 interdealer brokerage ICAP and its successive business of  NEX, which was acquired by North American financial services firm CME Group in 2018 for £5 billion.

A UK tech figurehead, Mark Holt is the former Chief Technology Officer of CPA Global and the Trainline, who currently leads engineering for UK Fintech firm 10x Banking Technologies Services, that develops open banking systems for traditional banks.
