BoyleSports shows support for Responsible Gambling Week

Irish independent bookmaker BoyleSports has shown its support for this year’s Responsible Gambling Week, a cross-industry campaign which will focus on triggering a national conversation about what it means to gamble responsibly.

The campaign, which is set to run from 7-13 November, brings together both British and Irish bookmakers to raise awareness of responsible gambling initiatives. #RGWeek19 is set to see over 120,000 staff at thousands of gambling venues and online sites take part.

The Irish bookmaker has committed to supporting the initiative and will be backing Responsible Gambling Week by running campaigns across both retail and online platforms.

BoyleSports has also confirmed that it will be distributing leaflets in support of the campaign offering customers tips on safer gambling tools that are available. The operator, along with every other campaign supporter, will be detailing the five key responsible gambling behaviours:

  • Only spend what you can afford.
  • Set your limits for time and money.
  • Gambling is not the answer to any problem.
  • Gambling when angry or upset is not a good idea.
  • Gambling shouldn’t interfere with your personal relationships.

This will be supported by a number of responsible gambling messages on in-store screens and displaying posters in the windows of all shops in Ireland and the UK.

Earlier this week, English Football League (EFL) Championship club Middlesbrough signed up to support the industry-wide campaign.

This supporting role will see the EFL dedicate advertising space in match-day programmes, on big screens and across social channels throughout the week, with league sponsor SkyBet also supporting the campaign.
