David Foster has departed his role as Public Affairs Manager at Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) after being appointed as the new head of regulatory affairs at GVC Holdings.
After spending over three years at PPB, Foster was tasked with overseeing the development of both regulatory and policy frameworks to facilitate the operator’s growth strategy.
“Really excited to have started my new role as head of regulatory affairs at GVC Group in London,” Foster said in a post on his LinkedIn page. “[I’m] looking forward to reconnecting with some of my contacts and former colleagues over the coming weeks.”
Prior to this, Foster held the position of public affairs manager for Betfair prior to its merger with Paddy Power. He also spent time working as the UK and European Union regulatory officer for the Sport and Recreation Alliance, which operates as the umbrella organisation representing sport and recreation in the UK.
In addition to this, Foster served as a parliamentary advisor in the European Parliament.
The news comes shortly after Paddy Power Betfair announced it would be rebranding as a bid to better reflect its growing global brand portfolio. Paddy Power Betfair detailed that its global agenda had seen significant progress during 2018. Looking forward to 2019, the operator group intend to target additional organic and M&A-led opportunities across the world
