SIS enlists Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo for portfolio growth

Sports Information Services (SIS) has announced a significant expansion of its international horse racing portfolio, after agreeing a global distribution deal with Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

The exclusive three-year deal, which will see SIS become the official distributor of pictures and data from the Buenos Aires based course, will see the firm broadcast live action from its 188 meetings and 1,500 races,

The premier Argentinian racecourse hosts 69 Group races across the year, including the prestigious Group 1 events Gran Premio República, Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos y Potrancas, Gran Premio Selección, and Gran Premio Nacional.

Hernan Fucile, Head of Product at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, commented: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with SIS, who have built a solid reputation as a trusted provider of quality racing content for many years.

“With premium races taking place at our racecourse throughout the year and on a regular basis, we’re sure racing fans will enjoy the action available to them.”

The additional races will be made available via the full suite of SIS’s services, with the latest partnership complementing the supplier’s comprehensive portfolio, which includes horse racing from the UK and Ireland, Dubai, Singapore, Mauritius and Korea.

Simon Fraser, Head of International Racing at SIS, added: “Securing the exclusive rights of live racing from the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo racecourse is an important step in our ambitions to offer premium, round-the-clock action to operators and their customers across the globe.

“As a provider of 24/7 betting content, it’s imperative we have access to quality racing that will appeal to audiences wherever they are in the world, and this latest partnership achieves our goal in doing exactly that.”

This move comes a short time after the racing content and data provider expanded its broadcast capabilities, after the launch of its 24/7 live betting channels.
