Betfair is offering odds of 4/11 that the re-scheduled Coral Welsh Grand National will go ahead this Saturday. 
Should it take place the race will be held at Chepstow, though with the ongoing heavy rains throughout the UK inspections were called on Thursday at Wetherby and Wincanton for Friday’s races.
Betfair spokesman Barry Orr said: “Despite the unsettled forecast we make it 4-11 that the track gets the nod to race on Saturday.”
He added: “A heavy ground Welsh National is nothing new and with a bit of luck the track will miss any significant rain expected in the area. With other tracks already struggling ahead of Saturday everyone will be praying the rain swerves Chepstow.”
The Coral Welsh National was planned for December 27th but was postponed to January 9 due to bad weather.
Betfair is offering odds of 2/1 that the race does not go ahead on Saturday.
