Having served as Paddy Power ‘Mischief Champion’ (official title) since July 2013, Harry Dromey has departed the bookmaker to join UK TV broadcaster Channel 4 as Group Head of Marketing
Dromey a key figure for Paddy Power branding and marketing, established a number of high visibility and innovative campaigns, which gained the bookmaker nationwide and international press coverage.
Dromey led Paddy Power campaigns include Paddy Power’s “Go Team Europe” Ryder Cup campaign presented by UKIP leader Nigel Farage and the 2014 World Cup “C’Mon England” campaign featuring Professor Stephen Hawking.
A specialist in multi-content and integrated marketing, Dromey’s Paddy Power campaigns won numerous industry and UK media awards, including six prizes at the 2014 The Drum Social Buzz Awards.
August saw the launch of Paddy Powers new football marketing campaign “So Generous it Hurts” under the direction of new CMO Gav Thompson who joined the betting operator last April. In June Gav Thompson confirmed the re-appointment of marketing agency Lucky Generals as creative lead for the bookmaker’s future advertising initiatives.
