FTSE-listed gambling group GVC Holdings has confirmed the appointment of Virginia McDowell as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
A 35-year industry veteran, McDowell will advise GVC governance and leadership on US market growth strategies, stakeholder management, resource planning and execution.
McDowell was the former President and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, from 2011 until her retirement in 2016, and the president and COO of Isle of Capri from 2007 to 2011.
A seasoned executive, McDowell has further served as Chief Information Officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts (2005-2007) and Senior Vice President of operations, sales and marketing at Argosy Gaming Company (1997-2005).
McDowell currently serves as Vice Chair of Global Gaming Women, a non-profit organisation with a mission to support, inspire and influence the development of women in the gaming industry through education and mentoring.
