Fantasy iTeam (FiT) bags over a million app start-ups on EPL opening weekend

FITFantasy iTeam (FiT) saw unprecedented traffic on the opening weekend of the Premier League season with an astonishing 20 million page impressions and over a million app start-ups.

The market-leading fantasy football mobile app, which is also available via the Mirror and Goal.com, is one of the world’s biggest fantasy football communities and has secured thousands of 5 star reviews on the App Stores.

On the busiest weekend of the season Fantasy iTeam saw a huge number of new players and 100% server uptime, a tremendous achievement considering the large peaks in traffic.

Phil Shaw, Commercial Director, Fantasy iTeam, said:

“The opening weekend couldn’t have gone any better for us; it was beyond our wildest dreams. The number of new players and general engagement was fantastic, but we were equally as pleased with the positive feedback on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and our ability to handle such big spikes in traffic.”

Fantasy iTeam is free to download and mobile users can challenge their friends. There is also over £25,000 to be won in prizes, real-time transfers, a live and interactive newsfeed and instant scores and squad news.

Gameweek 1 completed last night with Marc Albrighton, Riyad Mahrez, Yaya Touré and Vincent Company sharing top spot with 14 points
