Betfair dreams of the #RonaldoVerso for Brazil

Betfair has launched its new Brazil nationwide advertising campaign, telling the tale of the ‘#RonaldoVerso’ (#RonaldoVerse).

Launched this week, the RonaldoVerso campaign is fronted by Betfair’s South American football ambassador Ronaldo ‘R9’ Nazario.

The campaign has been developed by Octagon LatAm, the Sao Paulo-based subsidiary of international sports media and advertising agency Octagon (Interpublic Group).

Campaign notes detailed that “the marketing activation shows Ronaldo in his multiverse, highlighting bets and choices the football great could have made, and their life-altering consequences for the athlete and Brazilian football”.

The first Brazilian footballer to win the Ballon d’Or in 1997, winning it again in 2002, Ronaldo has represented Betfair as an Ambassador since June 2022.

Ronaldo commented on fronting the campaign: “I love working with Betfair and I really believe in the project they have for Brazil, encouraging and supporting football and the fans.

“The company is a world leader in its category and I, as an ambassador, am happy to have the talented team at Octagon leading the conception and execution of the idea.”

“Even more so for the unprecedented feat of having my brother as a double in a campaign. How has no one thought of this before?”,
