M88 on board with Leicester City as official betting partner

Asian centric online betting and gambling site M88 has agreed a deal with English Premier League outfit Leicester City, that sees the firm become the club’s official betting partner.

Under the terms of the deal the company is to leverage the 2015/16 Premiership champions global brand across its marketing activities, as M88, who offers sports betting, casino and slots based products, aims to extend its reach across the continent.

Jonathan Gregory, Commercial Director at Leicester City, praised the club as it continues to build its international profile via a series of strategic link ups, commenting: “We are excited to begin this partnership with M88 who already have a strong presence in the sports industry.

“We have built a series of key relationships across Asia, and our partnership with M88 only strengthens Leicester City’s already significant connection with the region.”

Furthermore, the deal is to also see the M88 logo appear across LED advertising boards at the foxes King Power Stadium home ground.

A spokesperson at M88 stated: “We are delighted to add Leicester City to our list of partners through this multi-club deal, as we gain more market share year-on-year.

“We are excited to engage with Leicester City’s exciting fan base and cannot wait to bring our loyal customers closer to the club.”

The link-up was facilitated by international sports marketing agency Project11, and Scott Taylor, a partner at the organisation, added: “The Project11 team are proud to deliver yet another club Partnership. The M88 multi-club deal enhances the brand’s market position. We have a long- standing relationship with Leicester City, making this the perfect fit to utilise the club’s significant Asian reach.”

Leicester City began their 2018/19 Premier League campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, and face newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers at home on Saturday (18 August).
