Aussie snooker star Neil Robertson joins SingleShot

Nevada-registered entertainment content firm SingleShot Entertainment (SSE) has appointed Australian snooker ace Neil Robertson to its board of directors.

2010 World Snooker Champion Robertson is also Brand Ambassador for SSE’s 7BallRun cue sport product. Robertson, who won the Hong Kong Master’s and Scottish Open this season, said: “The list of possibilities for SSE’s products is endless.

“Vinnie has shown me the long-term vision for the company, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of its growth.”

Neil’s huge television exposure is hoped to boost SSE’s B2C marketing presence.

He will be joined in his directorial role by Cape Town-based Moshe Adir, co-founder of Golfweather.com and VegasKings.

Moshe has focused for the past 21 years on servicing the digital online gaming industry and providing creative and innovative games and content. His companies have created games, content and websites for over 100 online gaming brands including products such as casino, sports, bingo and poker. 

“SingleShot has patented and trademarked the hottest live in-play gaming mechanics,” said Adir. “They have the opportunity to become the gatekeeper in the live-in-play bets business, and I want to be part of it.”

SSE CEO Vinnie Calabrese added: “The sports betting industry is going mainstream, and it takes quality people to help guide us through our next growth phase.

“Moshe is the heavy hitter in the gaming business that we have been looking for, and Neil brings great credibility to our products and exposure to the masses.”

The news of Robertson’s appointment coincided with another snooker legend, Ronnie “The Rocket” O’Sullivan being announced as a speaker at SBC’s forthcoming Betting on Sports event. Find out more about the event here
