Holger Kristiansen Returns to the Danish Market with Bet25

Holger Kristiansen founder of Danish online sports betting operator – Bet24 , has made his return to the Danish igaming market with the launch of new sports betting brand Bet25.dk. Kristiansen has partnered with Danish telecommunication supplier – TDC with a view to helping extent coverage of the new sports betting brand to Danish Customers and to help operational procedure.

Bet25 will specialize in providing online sports betting services to Danish customers, Rod25 will focus on online casino and slot games for the Danish market.  Kristiansen has prior experience in the Danish igaming market, having founded Bet24 in 2001, the brand would become a leading sports betting portal for the Danish Market.

Between 2004 and 2006 Kristiansen would sell his ownership shares in the operator to Scandinavian media group – Modern Times Group. Bet24, would be acquired by Swedish igaming operator Unibet Plc from Modern Times Group in 2012, for a sum of  €13.5 million (£11.3 million).

In recent interviews Kristiansen has alerted media sources that he was eyeing a return to the Danish igaming market, after two years of assessing the business landscape post Danish igaming regulation.

Holger Kristiansen launched brands Bet25 and Rod25 last week, with special player promotions targeting last Wednesday’s England Vs Denmark international football friendly at Wembley Stadium.
