SBC Summit to explore fintech’s role in faster, safer player payments

SBC Summit to unite operators, payment providers, fintech specialists and compliance experts.

SBC Summit will place the technologies transforming payments, compliance and player experiences under the spotlight with a dedicated Fintech conference track, taking place on Tuesday, 29 September.

Bringing together operators, payment providers, fintech specialists and compliance experts, the track will explore how businesses can modernise payment infrastructure, navigate evolving regulation, strengthen fraud prevention, improve digital identity and verification, and leverage fintech to support responsible gambling.

The Fintech track forms part of the dedicated Payment Expert Summit stage, alongside specialist tracks on AML & Compliance (Wednesday, 30 September) and Crypto & Blockchain (Thursday, 1 October).

“Fintech is now influencing almost every stage of the player journey, from how players are onboarded and verified to how operators manage compliance, prevent fraud and support responsible gambling,” said Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC.

“As these technologies continue to evolve, operators have an opportunity to deliver experiences that are faster, more seamless and more secure, while strengthening compliance and player protection.

“The Fintech track brings together the operators, payment providers and technology specialists driving that transformation, offering practical insights delegates can apply within their own businesses.”

Opening the track, the session From Click to Cashout: Building Reliable Payment Infrastructure will explore how operators are modernising the systems behind deposits and withdrawals. Payment leaders Sean Spiteri (Head of Payments, Eaton Gate Gaming), Ran Cohen (Co-founder & CEO, BridgerPay), Mariola de la Piedra (CMO, Grupo GELSA), and Kyle Wiltshire (CEO, TESTA) will discuss how advances in financial technology are helping operators reduce friction, improve transaction performance and enhance the player experience.

The focus will then shift from building payment infrastructure to scaling it across regulated markets with the session Solving Payments at Scale in Regulated Markets. As operators navigate increasingly fragmented regulatory environments, experts Rudy Attieh (Director of Product, PGWay), Mark Watts (Executive Director of iGaming, Aircash), Olga Gunchenkova (Director of Payments, Flutter International), and Andrea McGeachin (Group CEO, Neosurf) will explore how businesses can deliver consistent payment experiences while balancing local market requirements, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The conversation will then turn to the growing compliance demands surrounding digital identity. Beyond ID Checks: The New Role of Identity in Gaming’ will bring together Vasilije Lekovic (Vice President of Gaming, Trustly), Antony Jordan (Head of Payments & KYC, Oddset) and Mário Cardoso (Fraud & Risk Manager, Solverde.pt) to examine how upcoming EU AML reforms are reshaping customer verification requirements, and how operators can strengthen compliance while maintaining a fast and seamless onboarding experience.

The track concludes by examining how fintech can play a greater role in responsible gambling. During Data-Powered Responsible Gambling: Leveraging Fintech Insights,’ experts Nataly Shpak (CFO, 13Aff), Piotr Lisak (COO, Q Digital Assets) and Ivan Ochoa (Board Member, Grupo GELSA) will break down how financial data can help operators identify harmful gambling behaviours earlier and deliver more proactive player protection while meeting growing regulatory expectations.

Sessions across the day will also explore how AI is reshaping financial operations through From Automation to Invisible Finance: The Agentic AI Shift, alongside a presentation showing operators how to construct more flexible and scalable payment infrastructure in Building Your Own Payment Orchestration Layer with Modular Components.

Attendees looking to explore the latest fintech solutions beyond the conference stage can also take advantage of two dedicated networking initiatives as part of SBC Summit’s expanded networking programme.
