In the second episode of its special ‘Dear CEO’ series, iGaming Daily explores the utility that AI holds for the gambling sector.
Charlie Horner, Media Manager of SBC Media, was joined by his permanent guest Jovana Popovic-Canaki, CEO of iGP.
Kicking off the discussion, Horner asked Canaki about the functionality and benefits that AI enhancements can bring to gambling partners.
The iGP CEO responded: “Among the most important reasons why one would want to implement AI into their solutions is real-time reaction and scalability. With any AI-enhanced module that an operator or a provider decides to implement, it will help them grow much faster and more efficiently.
“There’s no need to grow the teams. There’s no need to scale HR or tech resources, and ultimately that brings the operational costs down, while still allowing growth.”
Canaki added that AI can allow for the instant analysis of player behaviour, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of the operator’s subsequent actions.
AI-powered game and betting recommendations are also widely versatile, boosting customer personalisation or feature expansion on a whim, Canaki explained.
“Another important reason is fraud detection. This can definitely benefit from AI implementation by analysing all the patterns in the withdrawals, KYC processes and reviewing the documents,” she added.
The duo went on to promise listeners a full episode focusing on AI, where they would try to dive deeper into the topic with questions asked by the audience.
Staying within the latest episode, Canaki also talked about the way operators can monitor their KPIs even when on a tight budget.
“Enormous budgets are not required to monitor KPIs in general,” she said. “If the resources are really limited however, the operator should then focus on the most important ones for it at that particular point in time, and then expand to add more.”
