Expansion and scalability the focus of iGP’s deputy CEO

Expansion and scalability are on the agenda for the new deputy CEO of iGP, Jovana Popovic Canaki.

In an interview with James Ross, SBC’s Multimedia Editor, at the recent SBC Summit Lisbon, Popovic Canaki, revealed iGP’s plans to launch three new crypto gaming brands and expand into at least two new markets.

She said: “The ambitions of iGP are very high. Our product pipeline is extremely big, from crypto solutions to the iGaming Deck gamification layer, the modernised front end and new markets.

“[However], the most important part is scalability, we want to find a way to increase that. Today we are probably in the hundreds for sites and brands and we want to be in the thousands.”

It has been 17 years since Popovic Canaki stepped into the igaming industry “by pure chance” and since then she has “loved every step” in her journey which has seen her take up leadership roles at Aspire Global, Masterpiece Gaming and Bragg Gaming.

Popovic Canaki took the latest step in her career in June when she joined iGP as deputy CEO, and at the time she told CasinoBeats about her ambitions of working with her new team to “drive innovation and unlock the full potential” of its products.

She echoed these sentiments at SBC Summit Lisbon and again emphasised the potential that she can see for iGP’s future.

“For me it’s never about the role, when the opportunity came along with iGP it was about the company and when I was approached everything was screaming in my head one word, potential,” said Popovic Canaki.

“It’s really about the combination of all the right things, the right people, the right products and the right tech stack. At iGP we have all of that and we have the right base to build on top of and to create new products.”

To be able to achieve these goals, Popovic Canaki added that the challenge now is to bring together all the aspects that she mentioned to create the best content possible for iGP’s clients and players, as “everything we do is for the end-users”.
