SoftConstruct has deepened its connections to the international gambling law community as a senior member of its legal team joins a prominent association.
The Yerevan-based firm’s General Legal Counsel, Karine Hakobyan, has joined the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), an international non-profit association.
IMGL serves as an association for attorneys, regulators, educators, executives and consultants, enabling professional development and networking for people within these communities.
The organisation particularly encourages knowledge sharing and discussion around some of the latest legal and regulatory developments in the global gaming space.
It has certainly had a lot to discuss in recent years as new regulatory regimes and political pressures have emerged across the world, from the UK’s review of its gambling regulations and imposition of new taxes to the launch of Brazil’s new framework in January 2025.
Members of IMGL have spoken with SBC News and the iGaming Daily podcast about a range of topics, with the overhaul of Australia’s betting regulations and the landmark legal decision around Sky Bet and data consent notable talking points.

Hakobyan’s membership of IMGL comes as SoftConstruct continues to secure new partnerships for its brands, with the FeedConstruct data and streaming platform particularly active in both football and basketball.
