Horseracing media firm the Racing Post has confirmed that it has moved to fully acquired Bloodstock Media Limited, the media owner of ANZ Bloodstock News.

The media acquisition sees Racing Post takeover all Bloodstock Media assets, the leading news authority for the Australasian bloodstock industry.

Racing Post management stated that it would begin to combine the resources of its Racing Post UK assets with ANZ Bloodstock.

Matthew Camacho, Racing Post Bloodstock Director, said: “We are really excited to be extending our global bloodstock footprint with the acquisition of ANZ Bloodstock News.

“The Australian racing and bloodstock industry has been a growing global success story for some time. It is impossible not to be impressed. ANZ are the number one source of news and information for the bloodstock industry in Australia and New Zealand, so the acquisition made perfect strategic sense for us.

“At the same time, the bloodstock markets between Europe, US, Asia and Australasia are increasingly intertwined and complementary, which also gives the Racing Post a natural opportunity to leverage our own expertise.

“Bloodstock is a key growth area for Racing Post and we look forward to reinforcing our position as the leading source for bloodstock information worldwide.”

Racing Post Bloodstock is the largest racing and bloodstock media business in the world, serving the industry for over 30 years. The ‘Post’ sets the standard for bloodstock editorial and is recognised globally as the leading source of racing, breeding and sales coverage, with an unrivalled blend of incisive reporting, essential features and a vast, comprehensive database.
