SBC: What new products/services will you have for the market in 2017?

Thomas De-Bruyné : Even after our many successful new releases last year, Golden Race is still bringing a lot to the market in 2017. In January, we released our biggest ever game software update, with many new features and upgrades for games, cashier, and our management portal. This year there is the new ONLINE platform which is completely unique in the industry, a new mobile specific version, a new studio for improved live-streaming numbers games, a complete revamp of all existing games to move to HTLM5 technology, entirely redesigned backoffice and cashier platforms, and some big surprises – Golden Race will continue leading the industry in 2017.

SBC: What do you think will be the industry buzzword this year and why?

TDB: Virtual Sports. The virtual sports sector growth has continued for many years. Many companies only try to make a pretty picture, whereas Golden Race has always approached things differently. We do everything to make the betting experience just like real sports betting, but with virtual results. For this reason, the industry is going to really see the sports aspect of virtual sports growing this year.

SBC: Which new technology, service or consumer trend will have the biggest impact on the igaming industry this year?

TDB: Mobile gaming, while it is not new, is really picking up everywhere. As I mentioned, Golden Race has the new mobile-specific platform for this reason. Mobile phones are ubiquitous, and in Africa for example, 10 years ago, we noticed that on every corner you can buy a SIM and a contract for mobile access. It was too late to wire houses like most of world is familiar with, they just skipped directly to mobile. The technology there is more advanced, however everywhere in the world players want the real betting experience right in their hands.

SBC:  Why have you chosen to begin 2017 by sponsoring the London Baby Party?

TDB: Golden Race also sponsored the party last year – we are always impressed by the professionalism and quality of the events which SBC put together – we always enjoy them very much. Also, the attendees of the event are great people who are passionate about the industry as we are. The London Baby party is a great opportunity to give back and support the industry, we are pleased to do our part for our peers and customers.
