Betfect went live last year with Ladbrokes and it has now been announced that the sports betting social network will henceforth include odds from William Hill too.

The London based tech start-up is aimed at enhancing the sharing of bets and making digital sports betting more of a social activity, as was the case when people would place their bets in bookmakers. The platform allows users to place, share and copy bets in one place in addition to following tipsters and trying to make their way up the leaderboard.

Alex Rutherford, Head of Product Innovation at William Hill had this to say: “Creating a social network for the sports betting community, allowing users to stay connected while using our services is a great idea. We are delighted to boost innovation by helping and supporting startups like Betfect to increase the level of engagement amongst our customers and to bring new ideas to market.”

Betfect Founder Giacomo Alpago said: “We are delighted to be the first social sports betting application to fully and seamlessly integrate with both Ladbrokes and William Hill’s APIs to provide an enhanced betting experience for our users. We aim to socialise the digital betting experience and do for the betting industry what eToro is doing for the financial trading markets.”

He added: “It is a major coup for Betfect that major operators like William Hill and Ladbrokes are keen to work with us to drive innovation in this sector in order to give punters the best betting experience possible.”

It was also announced that Betfect is working on integrating more betting partners and releasing Android and iOS apps in the near future.
