Bet365 has been named as the best bookmaker of 2014 after super affiliate bettingexpert analysed over a quarter of a million tips from its English language members.

Rather than use the criteria of which bookmaker offers most markets, the best promotions or ease of use, bettingexpert has calculated its decision using which bookmaker offers the best odds most often.

When posting tips on bettingexpert, users must select the bookmaker their tip corresponds to. The default setting is the one with the best odds for their selection, therefore the bookmaker selected most often is the one which has the best offer.

Bettingexpert’s Neal Storan explained: “With roughly 100,000 monthly tips on bettingexpert, we are in a unique position to be able to compare bookmakers using real data.”

Using the data in this way signalled an out and out winner, with Bet365 attracting more selections than second placed William Hill and third placed Bwin put together. Storan said: “Bet365 has been criticised for limiting accounts too quickly for successful players, however it is quite clear that they are the preferred choice of bookmaker for bettingexpert tipsters even when the numbers are broken down into smaller categories.

“As previously mentioned, the greater number of tips cannot just be explained just by better odds but by also having more markets which increases the chances they will be selected by tipsters when posting tips.”
