Mary Ann Calleja has joined Digitain as the supplier’s new Chief Product Officer to oversee new innovation strategies.
Notably, Calleja spent five years working at William Hill which resulted in her holding the position of Head of Product, and therefore brings plenty of C-Level experience to the role. Her most recent title was CTO of Kyiv-based software company, Suntech Innovation.
Calleja described Digitain as a “leading B2B iGaming platform and sportsbook provider, powering some of the most innovative operators across global markets”.
Speaking of her new role, she said: “I’m excited to lead the product function during a pivotal stage of growth, scale, and transformation.
“With an incredible team of talented professionals and a strong tech foundation, we’ll be focusing on elevating our platform capabilities, enhancing player experience through innovation and personalisation, and aligning product delivery to our strategic vision and partner needs.
“Looking forward to building the next chapter of product excellence together.”
Calleja will now oversee a full team of analysts, designers, data specialists and product managers to help pursue the company’s overall growth strategy.
According to her LinkedIn, she holds a Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Computer Science, a Diploma in iGaming and Financial Banking Laws, and a Diploma in Digital Marketing.
Rapid global growth
The appointment comes at a time of increased momentum in Digitain’s global expansion plans. It has recently landed a Gamingtec collab in Poland, as well as another European-focused deal with Winmasters.
Meanwhile at the start of the year, the supplier announced its entry into the newly regulated Brazilian market as part of its LatAm expansion strategy. At the end of 2024, Digitain also marked its Dominican entry with Colombo Sport collaboration.
It was only in September last year that Digitain obtained its UK gambling licence. This significant milestone not only strengthened Digitain’s operations but again broadened its reach across continental Europe, further solidifying its position within the igaming industry.
