OneTwenty Group targets Brazil and Spain with localised content

Sports media publication OneTwenty Group has launched a localised version of its BettingOdds.com offering tailored for Brazil and Spain.

BettingOdds.com was first expanded into the Netherlands in time for the Euros 2024, which combined with the two other markets in the latest edition will allow the company to stay on track with its global growth strategy.

According to OneTwenty, Brazil is a prime target because of the “immense potential” that it offers – having emerged as one of the most promising markets globally in just under a year, expected to launch early next year.

Some of the biggest industry names have already applied for a licence, with the likes of MGM Resorts, Entain Group, and Flutter Entertainment, among others, having lined up on the waiting list.

As for Spain, OneTwenty highlights that it is already a mature market that offers businesses a plethora of opportunities, with its regulatory framework “propelling the market on an upward trajectory”. It has already achieved a Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of almost 30% YoY, with more room to grow.

Chris Russell, CEO at OneTwenty, commented: “Entering the Brazilian and Spanish markets aligns perfectly with our vision of empowering sports bettors with the best tools and information in regulated markets globally.

“With over 60% of our revenue already generated from locally regulated markets, this move represents a key opportunity to diversify our revenue streams beyond the UK market, which currently accounts for 50% of our total revenues.”

OneTwenty’s strategic Brazil and Spain roadmap for 2025 will follow up with the launch of other tier 1 sports media properties, including its proprietary Squawka.com sports betting domain.
