Future Anthem doubles ‘diverse workforce’ in just a year

Future Anthem has revealed a significant expansion of its workforce, which has more than doubled since the company’s Series A funding round in July 2022.

The AI igaming personalisation studio has experienced a surge from 21 staff members just over a year ago, to a now-team of 43.

Emma Ferguson, Head of People at Future Anthem, said: “We are proud to have assembled a team of experts who not only possess exceptional technical abilities but also deep insights into the specific dynamics of the sports betting and gaming industry.”

Over two-thirds of the Anthem team now comprises data scientists, and the company has lauded its technical talent as ‘the core of competency and strength’.

This, Future Anthem stated, contributes to delivering personalised player experiences in real-time in the aim of creating a more immersive and engaging user environment across the casino, sports betting and lottery verticals.

A number of new recruits have also joined from top-tier operators and suppliers, such as William Hill, Churchill Downs, Ladbrokes Coral, Betway and Gaming Realms

A recent example is Jessica Wu, who was hired as Head of Marketing and joined the firm from Betway where she previously served as Head of Marketing for Canada, helping the sportsbook launch in Ontario when the province established a regulated market last April.

Significant in the tech industry, the workforce also has a 40% female and 60% male gender ratio.

“By harnessing the knowledge and expertise of our diverse workforce, we are well-positioned to develop AI products that address the evolving needs of our clients and drive transformative change within the industry,” continued Ferguson.

The group also detailed that recruitment efforts have extended beyond technical roles with a focus on commercial hiring, which follows the recent appointment of Ann-Kathrin Baumgardt, VP of Sales and Customer Development for Europe, Middle East & Africa, from IGT.
