Mansion secures Ontario launch with Playtech support

As part of its long-term partnership with casino operator Mansion, Playtech is supporting the company’s launch in Ontario.

With Playtech’s backing, Mansion’s Casino.com and Mansioncasino.com igaming brands have gone live in Canada’s most populous province.

Playtech’s part in the deal, the latest development in the duo’s seven-year partnership, includes delivery of a complete online backend solution via its IIMS platform.

Shimon Akad, COO at Playtech, remarked: “At Playtech, we are on a constant journey to expand into new markets and make our products available to new players.

“We are delighted to have launched with Mansion in Ontario, a key market for the gambling community and us.

“But, more importantly, this announcement demonstrates the strength of our partnership with Mansion, which we’re excited to evolve and further strengthen our partnership in the future.”

Playtech and Mansion announced an extension of their pre-existing five year contract in January 2020, underscoring a joint objective to ‘build their reputations as trustworthy and authentic gambling brands’.

The agreement follows a strong trading year for Playtech, which recorded a 73% increase in revenues to €792.3m in its H1 financial update (H1 2021: €457.4m), driven by a 17% uptick in its B2B operations.

Meanwhile, the firm’s agreement with Mansion enables the casino provider to enter one of North America’s prominent emerging markets, which has been projected to become one of the region’s dominant sectors since regulation in April.

Chris Block, Group President and Chairman, Mansion, said: “Mansion are extremely proud to be approved by AGCO and iGO to operate in Ontario. Ontario reinforces our focus on expanding our regulated footprint across global markets.

“Mansion is confident that our casino.com and Mansioncasino.com brands will be successful in Ontario and will positively contribute to the regulated igaming market and promote a safe and responsible gaming experience to Ontarians.”
