Sportnco has announced its entry into Greece’s regulated online gambling marketplace, having been tasked with migrating the sportsbook property of NetBet.gr.
The Toulouse-based sports betting systems provider has been selected by Pan-European operator NetBet to migrate its entire Greek sportsbook unit onto a new platform compliant with the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) technical commands.
The Greek project sees NetBet expand its existing relationship with Sportnco, which has served as the group’s lead platform provider for the French market since 2010.
Hervé Schlosser, CEO and founder of Sportnco, commented: “We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with NetBet, a long-lasting and trusted customer of Sportnco.
“This newly-regulated market enables Sportnco to demonstrate its know-how for meeting complex IT and trading requirements and once again we are excited to be expanding our international footprint. We’re really looking forward to developing NetBet’s presence in Greece.”
A revamped iGaming regime came into force this summer in Greece, where an update to existing laws has allowed licensed operators to offer online sports betting and gaming, including casino and poker.
Greek laws and regulations dictate that platform suppliers such as Sportnco must have a HGC B2B licence to service market incumbents.
Keny Igbui, general manager of NetBet, added: “We are very happy to be working with Sportnco in Greece and look forward to developing this relationship thanks to focused service and customer management with our sportsbook provider. Greece is a great market for iGaming and we look forward to continuing our growth there with Sportnco.”
