EuroLeague, Europe’s top-tier of professional basketball, has expanded its existing relationship with Genius Sports to bolster the distribution of its licensed data rights for global sports betting incumbents.
Since 2016, Genius Sports has served as the EuroLeague’s principal data collector and distributor for the betting industry.
Expanding the Genius Sports service, EuroLeague has confirmed that data from its syndicated tournaments and matchdays will be secured by Genius Sports’ courtside technology and instantaneous live feed to bookmakers.
The league underlined that its matchdays will maintain the highest level of data integrity and accuracy by utilising Genius Sports data collection systems which monitor 85,000 basketball games a year in over 150 countries.
Helping its extended partnership, EuroLeague details that it has launched a new commitment to protect its media rights and remove unauthorised data collectors found to be operating within their stadiums.
Genius Sports Group has worked alongside EuroLeague since 2014 to safeguard the league’s integrity from match-fixing through advanced bet monitoring and analysis.
