The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has this afternoon confirmed the licence suspension of industry platform and systems supplier EveryMatrix Ltd, enforced with immediate effect.
The UKGC undertakes its decision following a review of ‘compliance activity’ examining the technology incumbent’s ‘customer interaction frameworks’.
In its update, the UKGC states that it has undertaken its suspension in-line with Section 18.2 of the Gambling Act 2005, which maintains that the Commission may move to suspend a licensee which it suspects may have breached conditions of its licence or which it believes is no longer suitable to carry out licensed activities.
“The Commission has determined to suspend the above operating licence insofar as it pertains to the operator’s ability to offer remote facilities for real event betting other than pool betting or betting on virtual events, and to operate a remote casino,” the UKGC details in its enforcement statement.
The UKGC maintains that it suspension will not impact EveryMatrix’s licensed services related to manufacturing, supplying, installing or developing online gambling software.
Until further notice, EveryMatrix has informed stakeholders that its platform provisions will no longer be able to process wagering activities for the following UK partners – Bookee, PWRbet, Fantasino, PlayFrank, SportingIndex.com, WestCasino.com, Dragonara Online, Jetbull and MrWin.com.
“During this period EveryMatrix will continue to deliver a fair and safe experience to its players,” said the company. “All players will be able to access their accounts and withdraw any funds held in it at any time. Ante-post bets will be honoured, so if you have placed bets on future events these will be paid out as usual if they become winning bets.”
