Connexi and Athlete Media join forces to optimise global sports market

Sports agency The Athlete Media Group has partnered with new sports technology platform Connexi to form a strategic partnership which aims to enhance the global sports marketplace.

The partnership aims to better connect brands with sports rights holders’ assets, whilst further developing deeper evaluations of professional athletes’ profile and coverage.

Founded in 2016 by sports-tech Rory Stewart-Richardson, the Connexi platform provides a time-efficient solution for brands, rights holders and media owners to secure commercially relevant sports data, referencing over £400 million in rightsholder briefs across the world.

Rory Stewart-Richardson, Founder and CEO of Connexi, said: “The individual athlete space has been something we’ve been exploring for a while and with Athlete Media Group’s expertise, and unique proposition with so many purpose-driven athletes, it seemed very complimentary and with our evolving tech, a logical and exciting next step that is going to add value to the brands and agencies that we have on-board!”

The Athlete Media Group will support the partnership with its knowledge of sports stakeholder and agency management, having worked with 217 elite athletes across 38 sports.

Mark Middlemas, CEO and Founder of The Athlete Media Group, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Rory and his market-leading Connexi team. Our partnership will deliver a more holistic, data-driven offering to our brand and agency customers globally and we’re excited to share these benefits with our purpose-driven athletes and experts.”
