Ladbrokes reveals specific sports narrative with ‘We Glove It!’ campaign

This weekend Ladbrokes launched its second UK multi-channel advertising campaign ‘We Glove It!’ under the creative guidance of new marketing agency – Cravens Newcastle.

Featuring British boxing legend Frank Bruno, Ladbrokes debuted ‘We Glove It!’ targeting coverage of Saturday’s much-anticipated WBC Heavyweight Championship boxing clash between Deontay Wilder Vs Tyson Fury.

Launching ‘We Glove It!’, Cravens detailed that the campaign formed part of the Ladbrokes ongoing ‘Bettors of Britain’ brand narrative, with the bookmaker seeking to re-establish its profile targeting specific sporting events with a unique tailored creative.

Under the new ownership of GVC Holdings, entering 2018 Ladbrokes marketing called for a ‘creative agency pitch’, seeking to develop a new brand identity for the legacy bookmaker ahead of a crucial summer period featuring World Cup Russia 2018.

Last June, Ladbrokes marketing surprised commentators confirming the appointment of Newcastle-based independent advertising agency Cravens as its new creative lead, launching the ‘Bettors of Britain’ campaign.

During 2018, GVC Holdings has moved to revamp the Ladbrokes Coral marketing divisions, appointing former EE telecoms executive Noel Hamill as new Chief Marketing Officer for its UK properties.
