Our man in NJ… 888 relocates Yaniv Sherman to lead US expansion

888 Holdings has confirmed that it will relocate Yaniv Sherman, current Head of Group Commercial Development to its New Jersey strategic office.

Sherman will be tasked with expanding 888’s commercial opportunities within the radically changed US gambling market post PASPA.

An 888 executive since 2007, Sherman has led group-wide commercial initiatives and projects, for the London-listed online gambling group B2B and B2C divisions, working alongside 888’s core brands.

The relocation will see Sherman, boost 888’s current US-proposition which at present services a New Jersey licensed online poker room and casino vertical.

Updating investors Itai Frieberger, CEO of 888, commented: “Yaniv’s relocation to our New Jersey office is another important step in 888’s long-term development in the regulated US market.”

The recent Supreme Court decision to repeal PASPA and the potential for state-by-state regulation of sports betting in the US presents 888 with a unique opportunity to leverage our cutting-edge technology and market know-how to further expand our footprint in what could be the biggest regulated online gaming market in the world in a few years. We are very excited by these opportunities and are confident that Yaniv’s track record, strong relationships with regulators and partners, and his deep knowledge of the American market, will help 888 to further expand in the US as regulation allows.”
