Nordic Nasdaq-listed European online gambling group Mr Green & Co (Mr Green) has announced the relaunch of its female player focused online casino brand Garbo – Garbo.com.
Named after iconic Swedish-American film actress Greta Garbo, Garbo.com formed part of Mr Green acquisitions undertaken in 2014. However, the female-focused brand was put on hold as Mr Green management expanded its flagship properties.
Updating the media, Mr Green informed that Garbo.com would be launched with a new online casino platform as the brand seeks to initially launch within the competitive Swedish online gaming market.
Mr Green governance has tasked Oskar Mühlbach the firm’s Chief Venture Officer with relaunching Garbo.com which will soon debut its new marketing campaigns.
Mühlbach commented on the Garbo.com proposition; “Garbo will have a catchy, clever tonality, Garbo will be fun, crisp and at the same time personal. There is a big number of mobile gaming sites on the Swedish market, however, with Garbo’s sometimes provocative profile, I believe there is a position open for us.”
Per Norman CEO of Mr Green has backed the project, detailing that Garbo.com will benefit and strengthen the firm’s current Scandinavian igaming portfolio.
“We believe that Garbo has the potential to become a strong, global brand, just like Mr Green.This is a cost-efficient introduction due to the fact that we can take advantage of Mr Green’s competences, digital knowledge and supplier relations”.
