Betfair launches #MagicOfBarca viral campaign with FC Barcelona and Dynamo

Ahead of this week’s Champions League quarter-final stage, Betfair marketing has released its latest social media viral campaign featuring players from official betting partner FC Barcelona and UK street magician Dynamo.

The campaign named #MagicOfBarca sees Dynamo star of  Sky TV’s ‘Magician Impossible’ series perform visual tricks for FC Barcelona players including Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba as the Blaugrana’s seek Champions League Glory.

Betfair marketing will release the viral videos throughout the bookmaker’s social media assets including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube channels.

In July 2016, Betfair announced that it had signed its biggest European marketing partnership by becoming an official ‘Global Partner’ of FC Barcelona.

The bookmaker joined global brands Nike, Qatar, Beko, Konami, Audi and Estrella Damm as main FC Barcelona marketing partners.

Paul Gambrill, marketing director for Betfair, commented on the campaign: “Our partnership with FC Barcelona started at the beginning of this season and we’ve been working with the Club to promote our #MagicOfBarça campaign. To be able to bring together two world famous properties such as FC Barcelona and Dynamo strengthens our relationship with the club and fans by providing them with truly unique and magical experiences.”
