SIS launches esports product with Betfan

SIS (Sports Information Services) has struck a deal with Betfan to launch its SIS Competitive Gaming esports wagering offering on the latter’s platforms.

The deal with the Polish sports betting operator will see SIS supply live streams pictures, commentary, data and on-screen graphics with betting triggers, in addition to markets and prices for 40,000 live esports events annually.

SIS has lauded the partnership as a ‘great success to date’, citing Betfan’s margin returns in recent months, with its customers able to watch and place bets on live-head-head competitions of NBA2k21 games taking place Monday to Sunday in five-minute quarters.

Anze Gantar, Digital Sales Manager at SIS, said: “We’re delighted to have launched SIS Competitive Gaming with Betfan, and this partnership is testament to the relatively high margin esports product we can offer operators, who are eager to boost their sportsbook offering with profitable esports events.

“SIS Competitive Gaming is designed to appeal to existing sports bettors in a format that is familiar, and from the initial success we’ve seen, it’s clear that Betfan’s customers are really engaging with the fast-paced action that allows for multiple betting opportunities.”

Launched last year, SIS Competitive Gaming has been leveraged by a number of operators including bet365, whilst the omni-channel 24/7 betting services supplier later moved to strengthen the offering by doubling the output of esports content available.

The company also aims to maintain integrity standards with the product, with every match covered being monitored by an Esports Integrity Commission-trained (ESIC) referee whilst ‘strict due diligence procedures’ are enacted to encourage fairness and transparency.

Commenting on his firm’s agreement with SIS, Grzegorz Kiczko, Managing Director at Betfan, added: “We’re thrilled to have expanded our offering with SIS Competitive Gaming, and given the popularity of esports has grown considerably of late, it was a deal that made perfect sense for us.

“The launch has been a great success, and SIS Competitive Gaming has provided new and existing customers with an exciting betting experience, which has helped to increase engagement and drive incremental revenues.”
