Parimatch maintains esports status with Team Spirit extension

Betting technology company Parimatch has maintained its strong market position in esports by extending its cooperative partnership with Team Spirit.

Under the terms of the contract, Parimatch will remain the title partner of Team Spirit  – which is one of the three most popuar in the CIS region – and will see its logo placed on the front, back and sleeves of the esports athletes’ CS:GO and Dota 2 team uniforms.

Additionally, Parimatch will gain the right to use images of Team Spirit competitors in marketing communications and the partners will work on creating content for the gaming community as well as launching a collection of merchandise.

“Team Spirit is a kind of mascot for us,” said Stepan Shulga, Head of Esports Parimatch.

“Together, with the club, we have been through a lot, including a complete change of Dota 2 rosters and constant but always successful CS:GO roster changes; the main thing we value is focusing on the result.

“For this team, sports achievements are more important than media success, and we respect this approach.”

The partnership between Parimatch and Team Spirit began in 2019, as the operator sought to develop its esports presence. The commitment to esports is reflected in the firm’s mobile applications, specialised promotions and giveaways for followers of the sport.

Parimatch also supports amateur grassroots esports tournaments in addition to organising its own professional competitions and releasing social media content for fans. The operator also recently formed a partnership with popular professional gamer ‘Coldzera.’

Nikita Chukalin, CEO of Team Spirit, added “For the last two years, Parimatch has been a reliable partner for us, and I am sincerely glad that we managed to extend our cooperation for the year of 2021.

“We have significantly grown as a brand, and many of our endeavours would not have been possible without the support of the best bookmaker in the CIS.

“I am sure that this year, our cooperation will reach a new level and we will delight our audience with even more sports achievements and cool content. A big cheer for Team Spirit and Parimatch, doing it together in 2021!”

Team Spirit has won multiple CS:GO and Dota 2 tournaments, including a gold at the DH Open in January 2021, winning a first-place prize of $35,000. The team will become the first Russian esports club to enter into an agreement with American sportswear manufacturer Nike later this year.
