ECB renews Sportradar InteractSport partnership following app success with cricket community

Sportradar has announced that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has extended its live data and fan engagement partnership with its InteractSport solution until 2024.

Collaborating since 2017, the ECB has utilised InteractSport live data and scoring provisions to develop its suite apps providing cricket results, insights, content and stats across England and Wales.

The partnership’s success has seen over one hundred thousand ECB syndicated matches tracked and scored on the governing body’s flagship Play-Cricket Scorer app.

Further app collaborations have seen the ECB and InteractSport launch Play-Cricket Live app – an informative tool that provides personalised content for cricket enthusiasts based on club or league preferences.

Meanwhile, helping the development of grassroots cricket, InteractSport designed the ECB’s Countdown Cricket app – a tool that helps parents, teachers and junior coaches to organise and score cricket matches quickly and easily.

Alison Crowe, Director of Digital & Data, ECB, underscored InteractSport solutions as critical for the ECB to maintain that fans are engaged and informed with all levels of the cricket community.

“Our partnership with Sportradar enables us to deliver a quality experience to our recreational participants and fans through world-class technology,”  Crowe detailed.

“With an ever-increasing number of participants across England and Wales, we’re looking to inspire the next generation to share their passion.”

Looking forward to working with the ECB on new fan engagements initiatives, Sam Taylor, Managing Director at InteractSport, said: “Sportradar is committed to supporting the growth of cricket at all levels.

“We believe the ongoing embedding of our digital solutions will enable the ECB to facilitate a closer connection with and relationship between recreational players. It will also add a new dimension to their engagement with the sport they love to play and watch.”
