Oddschecker reports Premier League related mobile growth

Oddschecker, a sport’s betting affiliate and media portal, has revealed that mobile traffic has steadily increased over the last three years in regards to Premier League pageviews.

The site, which also provides information about bets as well as an odds comparison service, accounted that 32.5% of all total pageviews during the 2016/17 Premier League campaign were as a result of mobile traffic. This subsequently rose to 36.15% during the 2017/18 campaign, and lastly to 42.52% in this past season.

Oddscheker’s Callum Wilson predicted possible future growth, commenting: “Extrapolating this growth rate, Mobile Traffic will likely account for roughly 55% of all Premier League pageview hits for the the 2019-2020 season. Mobile traffic is clearly becoming of increasing importance to us and is likely to grow in the months/years to come.”

The news follows on from the affiliates recent H2 results which reported a 20% increase in volume of bets placed on its site compared to the previous year.

Along with this release, Oddschecker also revealed its three most popular ante-post Premier League markets, with bets on the possible end of season top goalscorer (20%) edging out both winning club (13%) and relegated club bets (15%) to become the site’s most popular market.

Discussing the increased interest in the Premier League, Wilson concluded: “New Customer offer clicks are up six-fold year on year on premier league focused sessions – this indicates an increase in the number of users taking up Premier League Related offers. The number of bets placed has also increased by roughly 37% in the build-up to deadline day indicating that these offers have likely resulted in an increase in bets.”

With deadline day having slammed shut yesterday, the Premier League kicks off tonight as European Champions Liverpool host promoted side Norwich at Anfield.

Premier League Champions Manchester City competes in its respective season opener tomorrow afternoon, kicking off its title defence away at West Ham United.
