Catena restructures board as Optimizer Invest decreases shareholding

The governance of Stockholm-listed industry affiliate marketing network Catena Media has confirmed that it will put forward the appointments of Göran Blomberg and Per Widerström as new members of the board, to be voted on at the firm’s upcoming AGM scheduled for 2 May 2019.

Issuing a corporate filing, Catena governance discloses that Optimizer Invest senior partners Henrik Persson Ekdahl and Andre Lavold have chosen not to seek re-election to the company board.

This 2019, Catena Media will move to realign its governance structures, as enterprise investor Malta-based VC Optimizer Invest reduces its shareholding in the Stockholm-listed affiliate network.

Göran Blomberg, current Group CFO of Swedish retail group ICA Handlarnas Förbund, is presented as Catena governance’s first board nomination.

A 30-year corporate finance veteran, Blomberg has served as financial lead for several of Sweden’s largest publicly traded companies such as Hakon Invest AB (publ) and Retail and Brands AB.

Further strengthening its board, Catena governance nominates current Fortuna Entertainment Chief Executive Per Widerström as a corporate director.

Leading CIS betting group Fortuna Entertainment since 2014, Widerström the former Managing Director of Gala Interactive (legacy Coral UK)  is considered one of the industry’s leading executives at planning and executing international growth strategies.

The nomination Committee of Catena Media will publish its full proposal and any additional information ahead of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 2 May 2019 at 15.00 CET. A notice convening the Annual General Meeting is expected to be published on or around 19 March 2019.
