Midnite hires Zach Amin to lead new sportsbook strategy

Midnite (midnite.com) has appointed Zach Amin as Vice President (VP) of Sportsbook, strengthening its position as a challenger brand in the UK betting market.

Amin, formerly Sky Bet’s Head of Trading for a decade, will drive Midnite’s sportsbook strategy forward, building on its successful 2018 launch.

“I’m thrilled to join Midnite at such an exciting time in its growth. Midnite is ready to take on the big players in the UK, and I can’t wait to help shape the future of betting,” Amin said.

Midnite’s sportsbook, launched in 2018 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, was built to shake up the UK betting scene. The duo previously developed the daily fantasy sports platform Dribble in collaboration with Sky Bet.

The brand’s focus is clear: deliver a standout player experience with a sleek website and app, designed for the next generation of bettors.

“We’re excited to have Zach on board. His experience and vision will be crucial as we push to make Midnite the most exciting betting app out there,” said Wright.

Midnite is backed by the Raine Group, Discerning Capital, Venrex, Makers Fund, and Play Ventures, raising over $35 million to date.

This appointment comes during a period of strong growth for Midnite, marked by a new partnership with the 2025 World Snooker Championship and the launch of its first TV advertising campaign: “Done Better!

CEO Nick Wright commented: “Zach’s calibre and expertise will be invaluable as we continue our mission to reinvent the betting experience.”
