Digitain has confirmed the promotion of Aida Vardanyan to the role of CEO of the gambling technology group’s Malta unit.
Taking on the title of CEO of Malta, Vardanyan will oversee the management of full-scale operational hubs in Malta, supporting Digitain’s portfolio of global technology clients, key accounts, and partnerships.
The promotion underscores Vardanyan’s proven talent, having joined Digitain in 2016 as a financial analyst and working her way up the company’s ranks to serve as Head of International Planning and Operations as of 2019.
Of distinction, Digitain stated: “Aida’s expertise in fostering partnerships, navigating regulatory landscapes, and building operational excellence has been fundamental in Digitain’s evolution and global reach.”

In her new role, Vardanyan, as CEO of Malta, will oversee the expansion of Digitain’s presence and resources in Malta, establishing it as the central hub for servicing global iGaming clients operating across all continents and jurisdictions.

2024 proceedings saw Digitain secure and renew its gambling technology licences with the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) and Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC).
On the technology front, Digitain debuted Centrivo, its new Customer Retention Marketing (CRM) platform, customised for online gambling campaigns and player acquisition and reactivation. Further initiatives included the launch of new Bet Builder modules, offering sportsbook clients the capability to price 150 pre-match events and over 250 live tournaments.
