Altenar readies for Swedish B2B launch

Altenar has declared its intent to launch its sportsbook services in the regulated market of Sweden, having received approval of its B2B supplier licence by gaming inspectorate Spelinspektionen.

The development sees Altenar, a supplier of customised sportsbook solutions extend its commercial footprint across regulated European jurisdictions, as it adds a Swedish licence to its already comprehensive licence portfolio.

Of significance, Sweden continues to be a ‘dynamic market. within the Nordics, demonstrating keen engagement with sports betting, seeing a 7% increase in GGR in 2022 compared to the previous year.

The attainment of the licence is the latest achievement in a series of new deals and partnerships that Altenar has secured within the European market and will undoubtedly boost the sportsbook’s global profile. 

Altenar is licensed across a total of 13 major global markets, including certifications from the UKGC and MGA. Commenting on the deal, Marina Zacharopoulou, Technical Compliance Manager at Altenar, said:
