New betting software development studio Mercurius seeks to empower the next generation of Betfair traders with sophisticated artificial intelligence tools.

This week, Mercurius announced the launch of its ‘Tradr’ application on the ‘Betfair App Directorywhich will offer exchange customers access to automated trading strategies at the press of one click.

Based in Milan, Mercurius is founded by the enterprise team of Fabrizio Machella (CEO), Lorenzo Malanga (CRO) and Mario Ciardulli (CMO), with the aim of disrupting standard betting norms through data intelligence and AI components.

“It’s a great time for data science and betting, as the Big Data revolution has completely redefined how successfully you can analyse sports betting opportunities,” said Malanga.

“Deep quantitative analysis allows Mercurius to forecast millions of outcomes and probabilities in seconds in order to uncover value bets: our AI crunches millions of data points describing matches second by second and creating a numeric picture of events and teams strength with much greater precision than was ever previously possible.”

The Tradr app represents Mercurius first betting product launch. In its product notes Mercurius details that its team of data scientists has spent two years developing a proprietary trading algorithm which will Tradr and future betting products.

Mercurius details that its software will deliver best-value betting strategies, as it can process faster fair odds published by  the bookmaker markets, utilising AI processes to deliver a more effective fundamental analysis of market movements, data and pricing factors points – goals scored, shots location, player skills.
