Unibet will be one of the first bookmakers to release a dedicated Apple Watch app in time for today’s international release. The bookmaker confirmed that its new Unibet Apple Watch app had been approved by Apple for release on its latest device.
The operators Apple Watch app has been designed to offer customers information on football matches and horse racing through the Apple Watch interface. The new app aims to support Unibet’s existing mobile betting app, making instant sporting information more accessible for Apple Watch users.
Unibet’s Apple Watch app will display football and horse racing information such as live scores, match details, race-cards, race form and results.
Ed Nicholson, Head of Unibet’s UK Sportsbook Marketing Operations, commented on the launch of the app:
“We anticipate Apple Watch users initially using their watch as an information and communication tool, weeding out the wheat from the chaff of all the communication that reaches our smartphones these days. So we wanted to be sure we are providing their watch with the best information possible in order to make it through that cut off.
“Timing and knowledge is everything, especially in today’s digital world. And that is never more true than in betting so the Unibet App for Apple Watch will allow customers to assess their information, scores and form with greater ease than ever before.”
