Sportsbook platform provider FSB Technology has installed Richard Thorp as its new Business Development Director. Thorp, who has worked in a variety of senior roles within the gaming industry for almost 20 years, is charged with managing FSB Tech’s commercial efforts and sales pipeline. His appointment follows successful bids from FSB to provide sports betting solutions to Genting and The Guardian newspaper earlier this year.

Prior to joining FSB Tech, Thorp was Head of B2B Operations at Racing Post; Head of Marketing at Better Bet and Sportsbook Manager at Blue Square. He began his career in the industry as a shop manager at Ladbrokes and Admiral World of Betting. He said: “I’m delighted to have joined such a fast-growing and dynamic business and look forward to discussing our trader-designed sports betting service with potential new clients over the coming months.”

David McDowell, chief executive and co-founder of FSB Tech, added: “Richard is a great addition to our rapidly expanding team. His vast knowledge of sports betting and sales and business development experience will help steer our commercial ambitions as we expand and take on more new and exciting clients.”

FSB Tech’s managed sports betting service includes a proprietary live sports betting platform, real-time algorithmic pricing models and CRM tools for player segmentation and bonusing, all run through its licence held with the UK Gambling Commission.
