Playtech today confirmed the appointment of Shay Segev as Chief Executive for the gambling technology providers retail division. Segev gained promotion to the new role, from Chief Operating Office for Playtech igaming services.
Segev will look to push Playtech retail gambling content and services provisions to new retail subsidiaries, as the software developer looks to expand its retail operations in regulated markets.
Playtech further announced that it would be looking to find convergence between its online inventory and retail operations, with a view to help clients improve their overall retention and create new acquisition channels between retail and online verticals.
Segev has experience in both online and retail verticals, having head up Playtech’s Videobet division from 2006. Playtech noted that their new Chief Executive for retail, had a strong understanding of innovation for gambling.
Segev is set to take the lead for retail product integration of new partners Gala Coral and Ladbrokes, who have partnered with Playtech to provide online and retail gambling provisions
Segev commented on his appointment “I am delighted to lead Playtech’s Retail arm through its next strategic phase of combining our retail and online offering. The forthcoming years promise to be of great strategic and operational importance, as we embark on many initiatives to create a full turnkey solution that will allow retail businesses to transition into the digital world.
