Smarkets set to unveil new sports exchange product this July.

smarketsMalta based sporting exchange Smarkets is set to unveil its new digital exchange product this July.  The sports betting exchange trying to take on igaming giants Betfair and Betdq  is set to announce new product innovations and product features to its current betting exchange interface.

Founded by Jason Trost CEO  and Hunter Morris CTO, Smarkets enables peer to peer sports bets to take place on its client, rather than against a traditional bookmaker.Furthermore Smarkets allow its players to set their betting odds and terms on sporting events displayed on their betting exchange

New innovations and features are set to include the following:-

  • Best Pricing Execution: Smarkets will select best pricing for user should the a more favorable price becomes available in between a user placing a bet and the bet being taken
  • Favorites list: Making onsite navigation to users favorite markets easier . Users can add any market on display to their list of favorites
  • Market Maker API’s : market makers will be able to push more orders to provide more liquidity. We are also in a position to accept additional new market makers onto the platform. As a result Smarkets will have more liquidity in less active markets such as baseball, volleyball and ice hockey that were not seeded by market makers to date.
  • New markets: Smarkets will feature more sports markets than ever – Golf and various motorsports will be added to Smarkets betting portfolio.
  • Backend Optimization: New hardware and increased backend performance will lead to increased bet placement/ order processing speed and platform stability.
  • Better Website Navigation: Player journey and navigation has been improved, with simplified navigation on Smarkets menus and interface.
  • USD currency: US $ has been added to Smarkets player currency options

 

The Smarkets product is aims tobecome the leading sports exchange  for professional sports gamblers. Smarkets has been listed as one of the ten European Start-ups to watch by the Wall Street Journal.Smarkets is backed by a consortium of European investors, including former last.fm chairman Stefan Glaenzer – Passion Capital and Deutsche Telekom
